1401 K is an iconic historical building originally developed in 1929 across from Franklin Square, one of the city’s largest parks. With brass fixtures in the lobby, inlaid stone work and 12 foot ceilings, this art-deco building is designated as a historic landmark in the DC Inventory of Historic Sites and also included in the National Register of Historic Places. The building is one block from the McPherson Square Metro station (orange and blue lines) and four blocks from the Farragut North Metro station (red line). 1401 K is surrounded by some of the city’s most vibrant mixed-use developments as well as a wide array of cultural, entertainment, hotels, retail and dining destinations.
